BIOGRAPHY :
The band ZZ Top is born from the meeting of Billy Gibbons (vocals, guitar), Dusty Hill (vocals, bass) and Frank Beard (drums) in 1969 in El Paso, Texas (USA). The name of the group remain obscure, it would according to sources, the name of a brand of cigarette paper, the name of a brand of beer reversed, an analogy to the king of the blues BB King or desire members to put their albums in last place in your favorite stores. ZZ Top released their first album in 1971 and stands out immediately by his blues rock sharp-edged guitar riffs.

In the late seventies, Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill adopt the style that will make them famous beards and sunglasses. In 1983 the band released the album that will bring him worldwide fame: "Eliminator". The songs "Gimme All Your Lovin", "Legs" and "Sharp Dressed Man" are huge tubes and make the group one of the leading bands of the eighties and the three subsequent albums the group will know a good success with the public ( "Afterburner" in 1985, "Recycle" in 1990 and "Antenna" in 1994). After two successful opus more mixed ZZ Top back in 2003 with their fourteenth studio album "Mescalero" which marks a homecoming and a winning return to the Texas trio with catchy melodies, good guitar solos and superb sound.
