BIOGRAPHY
:
Rufus Wainwright was born on 22 July 1973 in New York (United
States) but will grow in Montreal (he speaks french fluently).
His parents were singers and musicians Loudon Wainwright III and
Kate McGarrigle. So it was natural that he learned the piano at
age six and follows his family in the tours. Precocious child,
he composed at the age of fifteen years under the film "The
Adventurers From Lost Timbre". Despite this promising start,
it was not until 1998 to see Rufus Wainwright on his first album
full of emotion. Pop-folk will make its way slowly over the albums
and Rufus will show each time a new side of his talent as a composer.
He does not hesitate to mix french Universe and Anglo-Saxon to
deliver securities as stunning in her latest album "Release
the Stars" released in 2007. |
