BIOGRAPHY :
Shannyn Sossamon was born on 3 October 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii (United States). She grew up in Reno and took dance classes. As a teenager, replacing o by his first name there, because she finds it more artistic. His studies ended, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a dancer. It appears in various commercials and is reflected in the clips of artists such as Cher, Goo Goo Dolls or KORN. To round off the ends meet, she works regularly as a DJ in clubs in the city and stands out by a casting director. Shannyn Sossamon is for the beginning of a new life.

She received her first film role in 2001 as "Knights" and will enchainer filming, "40 Days And 40 Nights" alongside Josh Hartnett, "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law. After a brief pause in his career to give birth to her first child (Audio Science Clayton, born in 2003 of its union with Dallas Clayton), Shannyn back in 2007 on television. Indeed, the beautiful becomes one of the heroines of the series "Moonlight" in interpreting the role of Coraline, a vampire. Shannyn Sossamon then returns to the cinema and will be on display in 2010/11 of at least five films.
