BIOGRAPHY :
Maurane, whose real name was Claudine Luypaerts, was born November 12, 1960 in Ixelles (Belgium). Through his father, director of the Academy of Music in Verviers, she grew up in a musical universe rewarding. Of course singing contest, Maurane learns his craft as an artist. In 1979, she participated in a musical about Jacques Brel allowing it to be noticed. She takes some forty-five revolutions that do not meet success and earns his living by singing in the streets and cafes. In 1986, a record company believed in her and Maurane released their first album: "Dance".

This first test allows him to be committed to the new version of the rock opera "Starmania". The public finally fell under the charm and vocal talent of Maurane. She was voted from the album and success. It enjoys its reputation for engaging in humanitarian projects such as "Les Restos Du Coeur", "Sol En Si", "Laurette Fugain Association", etc.. In 2009, Maurane released an album in tribute to his friend Claude Nougaro "Nougaro Or Hope In The Man" where she takes some of his greatest hits.
