BIOGRAPHY :
The Gym Class Heroes was born in 1997 to meet Travis McCoy (singer / rapper) and Matt McGinley (drums), Milo Bonacci (guitar, it was replaced in 2004 by Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo) and Ryan Geise (bass, it 2005 is replaced by Eric Roberts) in Geneva a city of the State of New York (USA). Travis and Matt met at a course in sports, so they will give their group the name of Gym Class Heroes. Their musical style, a mixture of rap and pop-rock-funk is surprising and attracted a small group of fans. Despite three demo cd in 1999, 2000 and 2001, the boat and turns as possible to try to get noticed.

That perseverance eventually paid in 2005, the group signs a contract with a record company. Success finally arrived with the album "The Papercut Chronicles" and the title "Cupid's Chokehold" is going to reach the top of many charts. The Gym Class Heroes are a group of time surfing the wave of success in 2006 off the album "As Cruel As School Children". The numerous concerts and television passages before ending up in the studio to record "The Quilt" in 2008. Always inspired, Travis raises his lyrics and music power and makes the album a while still festive.
