BIOGRAPHY :
Aretha Franklin was born on 25 March 1942 in Memphis in Tennessee (United States). From childhood, his father, pastor, sing Aretha and her sisters in the choir of his church. Aretha discovered a passion for singing and she began a singing career. Only fourteen years, she made her first recordings. After giving birth to two children (her grandmother take care of his children to enable him to continue his career), the real beginning of his career in the early sixties. She sings jazz, rhythm and blues and gospel as a person before and it quickly became an international star. Aretha Franklin spent the seventies and eighties on top of charts and each new album of the Diva is a success. Starting from 1989, it is more rare in the studio and comes out only four albums in twenty years. In 2009, she sang a song at the inauguration of President Obama.
