BIOGRAPHY :
The Elbow is a group of school friends from the village of Bury near Manchester (United Kingdom) in the late nineties. Composed by Guy Garvey (vocals), Mark Potter (guitar), Peter Turner (bass), Craig Potter (keyboards) and Richard Jupp (drums) The first group is called "soft" before being renamed Elbow. The five boys are beginning in a small concert hall. Their rock music attracted a record in 1998, yet no action will be given and it was not until 2001 to find Elbow on his debut album, "Asleep In The Back".

The album will meet with a success in Europe through the rock "epic and progressive" qualifies as the group itself. After "Cast Of Thousands" in 2003 is "Leaders Of The Free World" in 2005 that will bring notoriety to the group. More original than Coldplay, another British group to top, and more accessible than Radiohead, Elbow album that brings a touch of genius in the pop-rock. In 2008 with his fourth album, "The Seldom Seen Kid, Elbow Wins Mercury Prize (award, which recognizes the best British album of the year) and signs a standard future of great music.
