BIOGRAPHY :
Group Chairlift was born from the meeting by Aaron Pfenning (composition, vocals, electronics, guitar) and Caroline Polachek (composition, vocals, synthesizer) in 2005 at the University of Colorado (United States). Initially, the duo was formed to compose the background music for haunted houses".

In 2006, joined the duo for the occasion by bassist Kyle McCabe recorded an EP "Daylight Savings". In 2007, Patrick Wimberly (drums, bass, keyboards) became the third member of Chairlift. The band's music, mainly electronic, seduces a label decides to give chance to the group. The album "Does You Inspire You" was released in 2008. The electro-pop title "Bruises" is taken for the commercial launch of the fourth generation iPod Nano and allows the group to come forward.
