BIOGRAPHY :
Ayo, whose real name is Joy Olasunmibo Ogunmakin, was born on 14 September 1980 near Cologne (Germany) an original Nigerian father and a mother rom. It was his father who introduced him to music through singing or listening groups and especially by making him learn to play the violin, the piano, then guitar. Barely out of adolescence, Ayo moved to chance meetings in London, New York and Paris, but it is everywhere with the same determination it happens in the clubs. At this time she chose her stage name, Ayo, which means joy in Yoruba. This name must bring happiness, since it ends up making out and provides the first part of the English singer Omar in 2002. However, it was not until 2006 that the beautiful way the first album, "Joyful". A mixture of soul, folk and reggae music Ayo met with great success across Europe and its affect the public. In 2008, the new album, "Gravity At Last", carved in the same vein as its predecessor and promised the same success.
